UConnectand GPS system - Anybody have them?

Just purchased my new truck and it comes with the GPS and UConnect phone system. Anybody have any experience with these options/ How well do they work? What does the UConnect allow you to do?

Thanks

the u connect, is a hands free cell phone kit, its pretty cool but you have to have a phone with bluetooth technologie. they sense each other and when you get into the pickup and your on a call it automatically transfers the call to the hands free set, and vice versa when you get out. i dont have one but i helped put one in my friends rig

The UConnect is an AWESOME feature. I don't have it, but a buddy just bought a Magnum RT with UConnect and GPS. You will need a Bluetooth enabled phone. Once you get it set up, its really nice. The phone is routed to your speakers, so who ever is calling you will be heard nice an loud. Also, you don't need a headset, so you can simply talk and the UConnect will pick up your voice and route it to the cell phone.

The GPS is really nice as well. I was surprised at how accurate it was. I watched us on the GPS trying to track accuracy. When we went over a bridge, the GPS showed us going over a bridge, with no delay. What is also nice is that you can type in an address of where you are going, and the GPS will guide you there, via voice commands. If you miss a turn, the GPS is smart enough to re-adjust the route and figure a new route on the fly.

Unhappy

I have the Uconnect on my reg. cab with leather & yup, I had to get a new phone with the Bluetooth to make the Uconnect work. Did that last month and it works ok, but in asking a friend how his reception of me was, he said I sounded like I was in a garbage can. I guess with the small cab & leather, there's not much to absorb my booming vocals. Jeff
