traction bars
While I DO NOT have deep pockets. I have realized something very important. Of all things that I have bought that were "less expensive", I ended purchasing them TWICE, as the "less expensive" items failed. While that does not apply 100% of time, it does apply at least 90%+ of the time.
The old saying "you get what you paid for", is very true.
As far as the GDP bars hanging too low. They are not any lower than the rear differential pumpkin. They are at the same height as the pumpkin. Yes, if you are going totally 4x4, off-roading with your truck, then they might pose a problem. Most, 90% of the people on here do NOT see true "off-road" use. Like me, they will encounter the occasional snow, dirt roads, and some deep ditches. In those cases the bars height will NOT come into play.
I just know from reading dozens of posts that "wheel-hop" is a major problem with our trucks. Especially in the snow, dirt and sand. Some products work OK, while others seem gimicky, I believe the GDP setup is best (IMHO). To each his one.
