Toyo open country ATs vs MTs?
Toyo open country ATs vs MTs?
Tried to search, but tap talk won't allow searching here.
Anyway I know the tire question is beat to death, but I have not seen an answer to my question. I currently have Toyo open country ATs on my Mega. I need new tires soon and really like the look and weight rating of the Open country MTs but I am concerned with the wear and performance of the tires when towing. Are they comparable or worse than the ATs?

I have my first set of Toyo MT's, they are easily more quiet than my Firestone MT'S. I only have 1000 or so miles on them so I can't comment on longevity other than I looked at the AT's and was told by several tire shops/persons that the MT's have been lasting longer than the AT's and with proper rotation I should see 50K+ out of them.
I had Toyo AT's before this set of Toyo MT's. They are both great tires. Expect to lose 1.5 mpg going to the MT over an AT of the same size. Noise is tolerable and the MT's balance easily as all Toyo products do.
I got 36K out of my AT's which I bought used from a friend who didn't rotate or rebalanced them their 1st 21K. I expect to get more out of these MT's.
