Tornnau cover or not, Help??
Tornnau cover or not, Help??
I'm having dealer install a leer model 700 tournau cover on my new 04 2500 quad short bed before I pick up the vehicle next week.
Is this an ok cover, and is it ok to install without any rhino lining added. Its just going to be on the painted metal.
Is this cover durable and built to last?

I love my Leer cap, very nice fits well and looks great. Check my gallery.
Post pics when you get it.
I would have to guess there would be rubber protecting your rails.

I am more of an ARE fan mainly due to the locking mechanism. I work with about 60 other guys and most have pick-ups with various different lids on the back. Since we are in and out of the back of our trucks several times a day, I have found the ARE to hold up better as far the latch is concerned. I have also noticed the ARE opens a little higher than the rest.
Regardless, I think it all boils down to personal preference. You will be more than happy with whatever you chose I am sure.
