Too Many Miles?
My '05 had 208,000 on it when I got it 5 months ago... I must of got if from a guy that thinks the same as Mlucas as I only paid $7,500 out the door for it!
With me only putting ~8k a year on my trucks, it should last me 10 years easily. Heck... My son will probably get it when he's 16. I like folks that think a truck is useless and of no valve after 200k. Means I get to keep driving $40k trucks that are only 4 years old for less than 20% of the cost new!

By the time a truck hits 200k there has been a long time for neglect and lack of maintance to catch up with it. If it has been well maintained, as in you know the history first hand they may not be junk. These trucks are not necesarily junk at 200k and many have over 300k. But going back to the original post that truck may provide you with years of reliable service and I wouldnt be put away just by the miles. My 06 has just about 90k and has been rock solid and plan on keeping it till it starts giving me troubles. Have it checked out very well by someone you trust and go for it.
90K on my '04.5 so far. Tires, oil, filters, batteries, and the fuel pump are the only things I've had to replace. Never thown a code, never let me down. Oh yeah, that little plastic tab on my sliding rear window busted off, maybe all those stories about Dodges falling apart are true!
Bought mine at 100k miles. Ujoints went after awhile, I knew before buying tierod ends and ball joints would need replacing, so thats already been done. The price was right, and I drive so few miles a year I plan on keeping it for along time hopefully.
I wanted to step into a truck I could pay off and it have everything I need for awhile and then be able to run it into the ground pretty much after quite a few years.

I went and looked at the Mega Cab last night, but didn't buy it. I couldn't get the dealer to budge at all on the $30,000 asking price. It wasn't in quite as great of shape as I thought it was going to be either so I will continue to look for a new (used) truck.
Actually, just got back from looking at a loaded '05 2500 quad cab laramie with 85k and it was a sweet truck. I liked it better than the '06 mega cab, so we'll see. The guy who owns doesn't "need" to sell it but is sick of making payments so I'm waiting to see what he wants for.
