Seriously? How many starters do you guys go through the life of the truck?
Is it really that bad to let the truck idle? Should I cut back on the time I let it idle?

My is 440 hours with 13,842 miles for a 31mph average. Suburban traffic I suppose. But most of these are towing miles also. You gotta work these engines.
