tire question for the drw guys

How many miles have yall been seeing out of the stock generals on the 3500 drws??

I have 9k on mine with about 30% towing heavy, rotated at 5k and wearing fairly well

I wish michelin would offer their XPS rib in a 17" size

i called michelin at 18668666605 and put in a request for the xps rib 235-80-r17....they said theres a good possibility of it being produced if the demand is shown to be there

It cant hurt to give them a call!

What other trucks run 17" wheels now? dodge started in 03? ford started in 05? what about chevy?

21K on the factory AM generals & looks like about 1/2 the tread gone.

Don't tow enough...daily driver.

GM started with 17"s in '07 as a optional wheel size (SRW). Dinky 16"s is still standard.

I assume GM didn't change the rotor diameter since the 16" wheels is standard.

I rotate every 7500miles.

65psi on all 6 corners.

Hmm
Just what are you guys doing to those Generals?
I pull a 48' flatbed with my trucks and on my personal truck I got 94k before I replaced them. Second set were Dayton’s and those went 91k. I rotate only about every 10k going coast to coast. I just replace my Dayton’s with Firestone TransForce this time. I just did a rotation on them about 2 weeks ago and getting close to rotating again soon. The Generals are 60k tires you know. If they don't at least last that long make them prorate you a set. But with what I pull on my trucks I run 70PSI in all tires and still that is just a tad to much as the center wears a little before the outside. I wouldn't go less than 65PSI in them though as you'll feel a fishtail in the rear pulling a heavy load.
