tire balance, Equal or lead weights?
I am still running weights on my 315s. I have used equal on some 19.5s that were on a F-650 I drove @ my previous job. I never had a problem using it but they say if you do use equal fill the tires with nitrogen because its drier and will keep the equal from clumping up.
could you tell a difference, using equal over the lead weights? was the balance any better especially on the hwy, I drive about 100 miles a day, 65-70 percent on the hwy around 70 mph.
Just a thought... I just had my front tires skimmed and rebalanced with lead.
The place I have do this skims and balances on the truck. What a difference.
I rolls straight and true with NO bounce or 70mph antics. Find a local truck tire shop and find the oldest guy in the shop, have him hook you up. When he starts skimming you will be amazed at the pockets and cups that are there

don't do equal (not saying it is not good, just you are not running a tire large enough to warrant using it). you won't have a smooth ride at lower speeds. I have tried it all and lead weights seem to be the best.
