Tint above windshield

Had some guy tint and he botched it and has to remove and redo, I'm concerned he'll mess up the black dot pattern above the rear view with his razor blade.

Is that tough stuff, what's it there for?

He shouldn't mess up that stuff... sounds like the tint is relatively new still, so if he uses water/soap mix, it should come off pretty easily....

That dot pattern is there for when both driver and passenger have their visors down to block sun, that pattern blocks in the middle....

im thinking its the factorys answer for the tint up there...you know kinda to provide a little help from the sun on the upper area of the windshield. if he messes it up, that why his company has insurance if its that big of a deal..be sure to address it with him and voice your concern about potential damage...if hes gets nasty, pistol whip him

A razor blade will not harm the teflon dots on the windshield. At most, it will take a little off the top and make it harder to clean to tint it again. I do this all of the time when I help my buddy tint.
