Just got back from a short 100 mile trip on 2 lane highway w/several small towns. The truck averaged 19.2 mpg. It has 9800 miles on it, now. It's been getting a little over 17 mpg just running around home (15-20 miles @ a time). Couldn't be happier!

MUST NOT BE A 600

 

It's not a 600. I was fortunate enough to come in under the wire on the 305/555 HO's. I do, however, have confidence in DC/Cummins getting the mileage up on the 600. It's new, they'll get it figured out. I hope so, anyway. I may want a new truck in a couple of years!

 

I SEE NO EVEDENCE OF THEM ACKNOWLEDGING THE PROBLEM EVEN EXIST ACTUALY THEY TOTALY DENIE IT AND SNUBED THE NOSE AT ME!!!!!!!! BOTH CUMMINS AND DC

 

I laughed so hard yest on the phone with a salesman. I told him that a friend of mine has a new 600, and is getting 12mpg. He said " I highly recommend she change the air filter". Like an airfilter is gonna go bad in 3k miles....lol

he also said,,,give them time!! it will get better. I said that my other buddy has 30k miles onhis, and only gets 15mpg. He recommeneded a filter change..lol.

i love talking to salesmen, they never cease to amaze me.
