Hey Homestaeder- If Dodge surprised us with a new body style for '05 should we take up a law suit against them for that too?

I disagree also... I'll gladly give up a small amount of power for a few MPG's better. From what I've seen of the 600's milage, I'm not impressed. I love my 04 and would have a had time trading it for a 4.5

I'll tell you who you can blame. Idiots that keep voting for that SOCIALIST Barbara Boxer. Barbara and her communist cronies keep the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia at bay with all their RADICAL environmental laws. Notice I didn't say Democrat or liberal. Most of us know a radical law vs a wise environmental law from both sides of the isle when we see it. It is the RADICAL socialist like Babs that I am refering to. But ultimatly she would have no power if IDIOTS would quit voting her back in! We now have the Governator, now it's time to Terminate-her from office. Help get rid of Socialist Barbara!

Now do you want to know what I really think?

BTW if Dodge had not released the 4.5 600 I was ready to buy the 6.0 PS. I am greatfull that 600 came out now.

Just drive it and enjoy! other guy going down the road has 10 more hp than you... so what! it doesnt matter which model your in you can pull a house and 2 trains behind you!!!
Not hard to guess the 05 trucks are going to have the plasticy looking Durango front end, and even more power. (its called progress!)
anyone seen the video of the little red Banks pickup smokeing the c5 corvette? if you think you feel bad about not having the most powerfull thing on the road imagin what the guy in the vett feels like!!!

Huh? What joke?

I live in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia. I was looking for a truck to go into retirement with. Am going to end up with a 5th wheel with slides etc... I wasn't happy with the SO output I would have had to buy in Kalifornia so I was looking at the higher output Kali legal Powerstroke 6.0. When Dodge anounced the 600 I was very pleased to say the least. I ordered a 2004.5 4x4 with everything on 2/7/04 from Lithia Dodge in Eugene Oregon for $1000.00 below invoice. I joined the following Monday the Farm Bureau to get my 500 rebate, and have a sold order protection on the truck to gurentee my $2500. (I checked with Dodge Corp on this before I placed the order).

MSRP: $44,205
Invoice: $39,534
My Price: $38,534
Rebates: $3,000
Fees: $70
TOTAL: $35,604

That would have been fine. I was not wanting the Kali SO which would have been my only choice.
BTW with all the fussin I hear on http://www.thedieselstop.com/ about the Powerstroke, what a peice of Cr*p! Ford even has a buyback plan because of all the complaints!

Want to see my impression of a Powerstroke owner after he sees the new Cummins 600?

I thought the 600 wasn't going to available until summertime a week after I got my truck I read on this board people were taking delivery already. Funny the dealer didn't even mention a new model coming. Some sales men arew real clowns they quote right out of Car and Driver and other mags. When I was looking for a commuter car guy at the Toyota dealer says they're putting headers on these now pointing at the intake manifold, so I say and they're using the air cleaner as muffler guy just blushed as I walked away!
