I am wanting to put ground effects on my truck. The only stuff available is for the regular 4 door, nothing for the mega cab. So, I talked to a company that makes them and they said it could be done but I would have to buy one extra side skirt, chop it up and use the parts to lengthen the two side skirts on the truck. They said since it is urethane it would have to be welded together. He said it can be done but I would have to find someone who knows how to do it. I have the SRT10 front bumper that sits low, I just need the side skirts to make it look better and to give it the lower look.

Not trying to be funny but are you sure you asked them for the correct kit? The MegaCab is just a QuadCab long bed with a short bed instead. The extra space from the shorter bed got shunted to the cab area.

It is a 6 piece kit. One side skirt for each side that runs from the rear of the front wheel to the back of the cab, one side skirt for each side that runs from the front of the bed to the front of the rear wheel, and one side skirt for each side that runs from the back of the rear wheel to the back of the bed. There is a kit that works for the short or regular bed and a kit for the length of the regular cab and 4 door cab, but no kit for the length of the cab of the mega cab. The cab length is the issue.

Kit may be more than you want to spend, but it also welds tons of other stuff.

Yeah, I have seen those. Just a lot of money to spend for a one time job.

If you are in SATX try Dale's Collision on Broadway. They made my baby look like new after a semi at work backed in the passenger side rear door and cab. They might be able to modify your kit for a reasonable price.

Yeah, I did not think it would be a big deal but everyone I called said no. Oh well, at least I finally found someone. Thanks.
