Well my truck died recently and I say truck not cummmins motor. The dealer has over 25 hours into it and cannot figure it out. It sat for 4 days because they had no direction to go in. I love the motor and the truck. So I just traded it for a newer one. i too hope I didn't make a mistake since dc could give a rats *** about me or anyone of you. Funny thing is the dealer tried to take advantage of my situation and would not help me out on a new one. So I went to the next dealer and bought one, today they went and towed it out of their garage right out from under them. talk about ****** people. Their *** of salesman called minutes later trying to figure out what happened. Well I'll end my rant but good luck to all of us as in the end all three Co. suck in one way or another.

My neighbor and I went down about 4 moths ago and bought 2 new dodge diesel 4x4 sb qc 373s. I ended up with the Vibration problem wich I had to figure out and fix myself (balance front drive shaft took care of it wich the dealer couldnt fix but I did by reading this forum) and My friend ended up with the death wobble problem wich the same dealer refuses to address the problem because they state they cannot duplicate the problem. (by the way we found a road to duplicate the problem and filmed it for the dealer) My son in law, my son and 3 other friends in the construction business all bought new fords 4 door short beds 4x4s and have had no problems except for a recall for an emissions re-program. I was convienced that the Cummins was the way to go when it came to buying a diesel and that fords 6.0 was a real problem but I kinda wish I would have given the ford a second look before spending 36k on a truck that has no support from the dealer or factory.

That is my prob, not dealer or factory support. They can't even diagnose problems never mind fix them. My whole steering went out, box and pump, they fixed it and 6 mo later it ran dry because there is a leak in it. I don't know. When is toyota building a real 2500-3500? Maybe they will be better.

So, based on past experience, I am not a big Mopar fan, but I do really like the Mega-Cab and the Cummins engine.
My Excursion had 128k on it and never skipped a beat, didn't burn a drop of oil and got 16 mpg. Towed my 5000lb sled trailer at 75 and didn't even know it was back there. It is the only vehicle that I truly loved.
Unfortuntely, the rest of the vehicle wasn't built as well as the engine and it is time to let my baby go. The Ford 6.0 diesel is not even an option (too many headaches), and the Chevy's are too small and ugly, so the Dodge Mega Cab was the hands-down choice.
Now I need all you Dodge fans out there to convince me that I am doing the right thing...
Drive it. It sells itself!
