tailgate lights

I have SRW truck and want to put the tailgate from a DRW truck with the lights on mine. Would my truck have a plug for these lights or do you have to hard wire them in. I only ask because I just got the idea and I'm currently on deployment 8,000 miles away in Bahrain. Thanks for any help in advance.

If your just looking to add some lights to the rear, a lot of people have gone with the line of fire LED's http://www.altecproducts.com/products_lineoffire.htm May be a lot easier than trying to install the lights on the tailgate, unless of course that is exactly what you want...

P.S they now make the Line of Fire LEDs with backup lights also

Just throwing out other options

The new ones have the three lights under the tailgate so they remain when the tailgate is removed. I would guess there is a connector for those lights already in the wiring harness.

Tell MJ we say high. i never did get any of the TDY's when our planes broke down in Bahrain, but i hear it is nice.
I put this light on my tailgate, there is a really good write up on tdr. I bought a simple 2 wire all weather connector at autozone and had the body shop tap into the license plate wires. it has worked flawlessly for almost 2 years. I did see a megacab dually with the light bar below the tailgate, that looked pretty good, maybe i will add one of those too.
