Suspension question
Suspension question
Ever since I've owned my 07.5 megacab 2500 I've had some issues on some highways with the truck vibrating/bouncing. It's usually over new stretches of highway that are concrete believe it or not. I'm in Missouri and know of three stretches of highway that do this. It can be from 50 to 80 mph. Is it the wheelbase of this truck? I had a quadcab 2500 shortbed (Dodge) before my 2500 Megacab and it didn't seem to do it. I pull a camper (34' 8300lb travel trailer--not 5th wheel) and there are stretches of highway that my wife actually feels sick from the vibration or bouncing. It's a quick up and down bouncing. I do have an equalizer hitch for it and have tried different settings with no improvement. So, my question is, is it the wheel base? I know the duallies (3500s) have the same wheel base and a tighter suspension. I can't imagine all of these trucks have this issue. And lastly, it's not a mechanical problem, I've checked for that. Thanks for any help.
I've never used or tried the sulastic spring shackles, but you may wanna give them a try if you have ruled everything else out. I'm considering a set of them myself. I guy on CF who had the same problem as yours gave them great reviews, stating they work great. They may be worth a try for $350.00??
