Surface Rust on bumper

I am starting to get some surafce rust on the front bumper. Is this something that is covered under the 3/36 warranty? 2004.5 with 19,500.

The way the rust warranty reads on most ALL manufactures is for rust through(holes) not surface rust.BUT most of the time its taken care of. Usually inspected and signed off on by the service manager.Go to your dealer and let them look etc.

if it is just surface rust and hasn't pitted the metal, hit it with some NevrDull or some other chrome polish.

Or better yet, get that stocker off of it and replace it with a real bumper! Buckstop, Tough Country, Ranch Hand, Warn, Road Armor etc.

The stock bumpers are very flimsy.

I use SOS kitchen pads. They don't scratch chrome and they get the rust off now, then wax. NOT SCOTCH BRITE!
