Sun Visor - falls down

OK, I did a search, but no luck.
On the wife's 2003 the drivers side sun visor had gotten to the point where it wouldn't stay up flush against the headliner. This last weekend I used her truck to haul a trailer from Central Texas to Natchitoches, LA. Once I got on I-49 Southbound, the thumping from the expansion joints would cause the blasted thing to drop down right in my line of sight. I tried to push it to the side, but then it just slapped me in the ear. After much aggravation, I just reached up and "forcefully slipped it off of it's mounting rod" (or ripped the danged thing off, as my wife said).
Now, I realize that I probably won't be able to reuse many of the parts as they are now, but does anyone have any insight as to how these blasted things are supposed to work? Are they really expensive at the dealer? I was gonna Velcro the damned thing, but the wife nixed that plan of attack.

ETA - no illuminated mirrors or any other gee-gaws to complicate replacement either.

I can't see them being more than $40 at the dealer.

very close. I was quoted $54.35 plus tax from Allen Samuels Doge in Waco. Still waiting for a quote from Lone Star Autoplex in Cleburne.

Done

OK, whole new assembly - $51.10, after tax - $55.06.
Purchased from Lonestar Chrysler Dodge Jeep, Cleburne TX.
Ten minute replacement job - remove three Torx head screws and then replace.
Wife happy - priceless.
