Sticking Brakes?

I've searched on here, but haven't seen anyone post this problem. After some(not all) 10-15 mile drives, in and out of town, my rear left park brake hub gets so hot, I can't touch it,and stinks, also the rear rotor seems hot, too. Right side gets very warm, but not as hot. This happens about 50% of the trips. Some trips, the brakes are cool. Also my park brake seems to need a lot of effort to make it work properly. Does it sound like the park brakes are shot? The rear rotors and disc pads look not too bad.Since I've noticed this, I don't use the park brake anymore. Truck had 160,000km, or about 100,000 miles, not sure if it's ever had a brake job done, but the brakes feel absolutely wonderful when driving.Truck also rolls while on a slight grade in neutral with no brakes applied.
Thanks,Mark

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Are you sure the park brake is fully releasing? Perhaps the left cable is binding internally. Do you use the brake pedal as a rest for left foot. If you move pedal as little as 1/8 inch many vehicles will overheat the least resistive brake. At 160K you could use a through brake inspection. Maybe a caliper is starting to stick.

I had posted something simialr awhile back. My truck did the exact same thing. At 1st I thought my caliper may be going bad. I removed the caliper and using a large c-clamp pushed each piston back in. One of the pistons seems to not move as smotth as the other. I cleaned everything and put it back together. It happened again and the 2nd time I removed the pads and did not reinstall the anti-rattle clips. I just left the pads floating on the caliper housing. It has been 2 weeks and I have not had the rear drivers stick.

I am still leaning towards the caliper piston may be starting to fail and the clips were just adding that little extra resistance to not allow pad to float back out of the way? I had never had this problem other winters and am wondering if some additons to my truck could help cause this.
1- I added Rickson 19.5 rims (3/4 additional offset) allows calipers to be more exposed to elements.
2- I added large dually mudflaps. These cause alot of mist/spray when going down the highway during crappy weather.

Thinking these 2 items may be allowing dirt/crud to build up on the caliper/brake pads.

I did not think it was my emergency brake that caused this as I never use the emergency brake in my daily routine when I had this happen to me.

"Are you sure the park brake is fully releasing? Perhaps the left cable is binding internally. Do you use the brake pedal as a rest for left foot. "

That's what I was thinking at first, so I quit using it, but if it was sticking, would it not always heat up,not just 50% of the time? And, no if I used the brake pedal for a foot rest, then the brakes would always be hot.
Both the park brake hub and rotor get hot, I'm wondering if it could be one or the other, and the heat radiating from the problem area to the other area.

I think I'll have to have someone look at it, as I've never worked on the park brake hub system before or rear wheel disc brakes.
The trans was rebuilt before I got it due to water contamination, maybe something is intermittantly sticking due to rust in the brakes?
