Steering Wheel Covers

Hello All,

Anyone have any good recomendations on a good leather lace up steering wheel cover? My origional steering wheel was "delaminating" and the dealer replaced it free of charge. Now I don't want my newer one to shed it's skin!!!

Thanks Jamie

Cabela's sells some nice ones, they are much thicker than the oem. I find mine very comfortable. They sell for bout $20. Here is the link sorry it is so long!

I have had good luck over the years with Wheelskins leather covers. Kind of a PITA to install but it's worth it.

Redneckonthenet, does yours have any rubber made into it? It looks a lot like the ones in Wal-Mart that are made of rubber. I tried one and it smelled up the whole cab of rubber, I had to get rid of it.

Johnshole, same question to you.

Thanks Jamie

Wheelskins are 100% domestic cowhide and they are hand crafted in California, and there is no plastic. Mine has a softer feel than factor and is real hard to tell it isn't factor. Fine leather. My dad drove my truck then bought him one.

I'll vouch for the wheelskins as well. I have several in different vehicles. Love the quality and comfort. They can be had for $25 to $30 easily.

See I tend to go the other way on this issue...I wait until my factory steering wheel is so wore out I cant stand it...then I put a cover in. Most of the time it wears out at 150000 miles...I dont usually sell my vehicles so it dont matter what it looks like.
