I too get a considerable zap when getting out of my truck but I think it is only when wearing my nylon jacket (like a sports team jacket). I don't remember it happening when I wear my Carhart or when not wearing a jacket.

 

Mine used to bite me now and then. Being a mechanic and having the premium clothe seats, I installed a leather seat cover on the drivers seat. That helped a little. I grab the outside of the A-pilar with my right hand, and keep a hold of it as I turn in the seat, and slide out.
