coming home from a weekend of camping with the family and in the bed the wife had a plastic tote I put a wratchet strap on it but I guess not tight enough. had to hit brakes hard and I guess tote slide onto y- pipe and melted a nice 5 inch hole all the way across the tote and on her clothes inside. So now I am in the doghouse and looking for ideas on where to get some insulation wrap for the y-pipe

 

Temporary fix is put a piece of wood across your bed in front of the pipe until you can build a box around the pipe.

 

jegs or summit racing for exhaust wrap.....or build a heat shield.....

 

I have the mbrp diamond plate cover on mine...its a nice looking option at least. Sturdy and doesnt get hot!

 

A buddy of mine has a huge cooler with a perfect 5" stack melt divit in the end! LMAO!!!! woops! And yes we still use it!
