SRT 10 Hood

I am looking for a ''scoop block off plate'' to replace the grill in the scoop of my hood. I read in an earlier post that someone knew of one but couldn't remember the source of the part. Tried several dealers for an OEM part with no success. Searched prior posts on this hood topic and had no luck finding any info. If anyone knows anything about one of these please let me know, or if anyone has fabricated their own. Thanks, J.B.

I took a thin pc of card board and cut, to fit my opening.
I traced that on a thin pc of black plastic, and cut out.
I cut a thin pc of weather stripping and stuck around
outside edge, I then put in place, and drilled 4 small holes
threw plastic and grill web. I use small metal screws to hold in place. I use it when I go threw a car wash or it rains. My truck is in
storage or I would have taken a picture to show you.

The OEM part you are looking for comes from the "Daytona" series pickups. It has a fake honeycomb looking pattern, but is a solid piece of plastic. The SRT-8 insert looks similar, but will let air flow through. I have one at home, I'll see it the part # is still on it.

I was going to use it, but made my own using the same material my billet grill is made from so they match. So far I've just left mine "open with no problems yet, even in the dead of winter.

Thanks for the info guys. I have considered making one out of stainless or aluminum but have too much going on right now to do it. Need to find something that will work for now off the shelf and do some customizing later on. Let me know if you find that part # Robert. Thanks again, John

do you like the look of the hood and want to keep the scoop for later on? would you consider trading for a non-scoop hood?
(i'm in Madison, WI and would consider a trade)

I think the PN is 05174323AA. Half the sticker is ripped off. Seems to me when I bought it, it was $8.
