Squeaky back window.

I have a slider rear window and it's ticking / squeaking. If I open and close it a few times the noise stops but starts up again after a few miles. Anyone experience anything like this? It's freakin' annoying.....

Yep, mine will do the same thing but only when it is 100% closed tight. It's the electric version, so I barely bump the switch to open it and the squeaking stops. I suppose that whatever two surfaces were together and causing the squeak are now not touching.

Maybe give that a try?

Silicone grease in the window tracks fixed mine. That was over 9 years ago and never came back.

You've got some dirt, dust or grit in the track or lock somewhere...mine did the same thing. After repeated cleaning and not getting it solved longer than a week, I ran a bar of soap splinter along the tracks and the lock and haven't had a problem since. I suppose a candle would work as well, but i enjoy the smell of Irish Spring

My window is a manual slider. I slopped some silicon grease into the tracks (top and bottom) and it helped but there was still some squeaking. Then I cycled the window back and forth about 10 -15 times and now there's no squeaking or ticking. Nice and quiet so far.........
