Squeaking when wheels turned

When truck is moving and wheels are turned (almost all the way) it is making a squeaking sound. Anyone had this problem?

Check your front axle u-joints.

Thanks, I sprayed some penetrating oil on them and it greatly reduced the squeak. Does this mean they are due for replacement or do they need cleaned up after the long Wisconsin winter?

They are likely done. Typical problem with them.

Just had mine done at 53,000. Replaced them with greasable ones. Hope they last longer this time.

My truck has 112,000 miles (all on road) so I shouldn't complain. Do you think it makes sense to do the entire front end: ball joints, new steering, and u joints at this time???
