You probably have one with an early 03 and a S.O the problem is they are older weaker tranny. They fixed the problems so they won't blow up right away. But you have go easy on your mod's. You try to put over 400 on that tranny and it will be MIA soon. Other than that my old 47re lasted 100k and the tourqe convertor lasted 65k of those 100k

Look at your build date. If you have a SO motor with a build date before 1-1-03 then it is the 47re tranny. or you can go to a dealer and ask them to print up a build sheet of your trucks vin # and it will list it on that

If it was delivered in 12-02 I maybe wrong but it is safe to say that it was built before 1-03.
