which smarty, bullydog, etc, allows you to turn things on ?? running lights, high idle, adjust for increase in tire size, etc,..I called dealer & they want 85.00 just to turn on running lights. They didn't know about high idle or if they could turn it on or not.. I"am not concerned about adding anymore HP
Thanks

Smarty will allow you to turn on the manual high idle feature, and adjust tire size.
Bullydog will allow you to turn on daytime running light's, fog lights on with high beams, adjust tire size, maybe other things, I do not have a Bullydog but I am sure others will post soon.

I am curious about all the features that the Bullydog will enable or change.

Pretty sure my Smarty will adjust tire size but not the high idle feature. Had it a few years.

Smarty will enable the high idle feature. When you download stock software it will leave the high idle feature in the ecm..

I've never read anything in the Smarty manual about it. How is it enabled then? Can it be used on all the SW's including the stock setting?

Once it's in it's in. I've used mine to enable my truck, my company truck and a few of the other company trucks at work. Lots of warm up time here in the winter.

I was unaware of this, nice

I'll have to try it out one of these days. You just hit the cruise control and raise it with that correct?

Turn on cruise and hit set, 1100 rpm's. Accelerate button will get it up to about 1500 rpm's.

So let me get this straight. You're saying that with SW1 loaded up like it has been for the last few months, that all I need to do is the cruise control thing to enable high idle? If so, that really blows me away, because I had no idea.

....as long as you have an automatic and an 04.5 or newer Gen III. If you have a manual tranny you need to ground pin#22 of the ECM located on the driver's side of the engine block. Several threads on how to do this.

Was going to post what mjf said. Don't let your dealer tell you there's a green wire under the dash to ground out to achieve the same effect on a 5.9 manual. This is for the 6.7 manuals. 5.9 has to ground the ECM pin.
Bullydog will enable the high idle as well. It will enable/disable a bunch of features and on multiple trucks. Just can't load the tune into more than 1 truck at a time.

WOW!!! You guys are great.

I've had Smarty for a long long time, like 3 years or so, and just like many of you said - it worked. I started the Dodge up earlier, let it run for a few seconds and then clicked on the cruise control. The idle went up to 1100. The Accel button took it up to 1200 and then 1300 and then the decel button brought it back to 1100. Hit the cruise off button and it returned to normal idle at 750.

I'm just amazed, like some kind of revelation. And ofcourse, once again, Smarty kicks serious booty. Thanks fellas!!

I do not think I have seen a list of what bullydog will enable/disable, would you mind listing the features.
