Sirius reciever info

I am thinking of switching out my stereo for a better unit. What I don't want to do is lose my onboard sirius. IS the reciever for the sat built into the head unit or is it seperate? Also if it is seperate, does someone know who sells an adaptor kit if I go aftermarket??

it is seperate. check crutchfield.com out for info on aftermarket adapters. give them a call if you can't find it on their site. they know their stuff!
