single rims for mud tires on dually

does anyone know of anywhere to get large single rims to mount wide single mud tires on the back of my dually?I would like the option of swapping on large single mud tires on days my mud club has an event(I am a pull truck for pulling trucks out of the mud when stuck). If not what about spacers for dual wide mud tires?
thanks

I do not know the name of the company or what brand. But, some of the 18 wheelers around here (Vermont) have gone to a single LARGE rim that allows for a single tire to be mounted in on the same axle as the duallies. They really look pretty cool also. Less tire wear over all from what they say as they can still handle the load of what 4 tires do.

So, maybe stop in a big rig shop and ask around.

Hope that helps.

those rims are super singles, but they are 22.5's. I do'nt think they make them smaller.

I think they look really cool. I could see a down side to them as if you happen to get a flat, you now need to park the trailer until fixed compared to only having a single tire go flat on a dually, you could limp into a tire place.

But they still look cool. Somebody in VT has one of those new International CTX trucks (Huge thing) and they were going to put Super Singles on it instead of the dual rears. Going to look really cool.

There was a girl in my old town who drove around in a late 90's Chevy 2wd dually. It was really lowered and had the large single rear wheels. Never got the chance to check them out real close but they were singles and wide!

I would think any of the companies who make wheels for drag racing would make the right wheel for you. I've seen wheels as wide as 20" on mud trucks as well.

Another option is are you running at stock ride height? If so super swamper makes narrow tires for runing dual rear wheels. I know they make a 34X9.50 and a 34X10.50 in the TSL and LTB respectively. Also their Q-78 series tires are alittle taller (~35.5") but am not sure if they make them in a 17" rim.

Just some thoughts.

On my trip from FL to OR I saw a coulpe of trucks like that. I love thatlook. It is also sweet when the trailer they are pulling has the same wheel tire set up! Awesome

I think you may want to take a look at Bart's wheels, they make the Super Trucker.

do you know if barts has a website or where theyre located? I cant find a website.and yes I do want them on my trailer too, should look cool.Weld wheels told me they dont do that anymore.I would like 37's but 35's tires will do.I could put an 18 inch wide swamper on the back,(I only need them on mudding days) rest of time my normal street tires would be on,unless it looked so good that I had to keep them on around town, but anyway thanks for all the help

Those are called "phantom duallys". Usually a 15x14ish wheel with Mickey Thompson's. I think you could get some Weld wheels. I saw a Chevy dually lifted with some 38's on a 15x12 Weld Super Single. Looked pretty good.

If you don't mind running a steel wheel you can get them custom made in just about any width, lug pattern, back space and offset you want. Here's one company that will do just that: http://rockcrawler-mrt.com/

Just about any steel wheel manufacturer should be able to build you a custom wheel to your specs. Keep in mind that as the wheel gets wider it's more likely to stress the center section. If you need spacers let me know, a buddy owns a machine shop that specializes in them: http://www.motorsport-tech.com/
