Exclamation Shipping help

Hey all, I thank you in advance for your time. I am stationed in Germany with the U.S. forces, and need help finding a company that will ship a bumper here. I am looking at something like the Ranch Hand. I busted the plastic cover on mine, someone pulled out in front of me and it was snowing and icy, I blew my horn and they hit there brakes, I couldn't stop so I swerved and hit a large pile of snow. and to top it off they took off. I am often in the woods working and need something that won't fall apart every time I drive off road. My insurance company will pay as long as it doesn't exceed $2500 shipping and all. I have an 06 2500 5.9 Cummins. Again thank you for your time and take care

First of all welcome to th forums. Secondly. Don't try the "freedom" card. There are many of us on this forum that have/do serve in the military. If you need help, more then likely you have have plenty that will be glad to lend a helping hand.

Now... What type of bumper are you looking for? Bullnose? Full coverage? Winch? Fog lights?

Oh and do us a favor and fill out your sig so everyone can have an idea of what you drive to help clarify things so you don't get wrong info because the modle/year was assumed.

I think 2500 shipped may be a little hard to come by. Simply because the weight. The Bullnose I want to say is like 312 lbs, but don't quote me on it. I asked Ranch Hand several months ago and have now forgot it. The Bumper like you have shown is a Legend Series Ranchhand Bumper. Those cost me $1055 to pickup locally from both the Ranchhand store and a guy that sells them a little closer to me than the RH store.

Try calling RH and see if they can ship for you. Like I said these things are very heavy, so shipping is going to be $$$.
Shipping here in the states runs about 150.

I'm really interested to see how this turns out. My instinct tells me something is wrong here.

We have a first time poster looking for someone to ship something overseas and he's sending a check from his insurance company....

Is the truck in Tennessee or Germany?

Why wouldn't a guy contact Ranch Hand and just ask them to ship it to Germany?

No disrespect, but it's a sign of the times.... Heck, if the Ranch Hand cost $1050, I'm sure I could ship it to Germany for $1400. How in the world did you get your truck over there?

How about fabbing one up? Take that insurance check, buy materials and build up a nice bumper.

The truck is in Germany and the military shipped the truck here when I came over here. Ok I changed my mind on the bumper. German law won't allow a full coverage, because of the safety regulations. So I must settle for one like this. And as far as fabbing one up, I have no resources for that here. Lost Lake I am sorry that this sound fishy to you. I am American and stationed over here. I need a bumper that won't fall apart every time I work off road. As the one in the pic... I really appreciate everyone time and help.

Have you looked at Tough Country bumpers? http://store.toughcountry.com/dodge

A friend of mine has a full replacement on his F*rd dually - it looked pretty good. I'm considering an Apache bullnose for my truck.

Anyway, getting it freight over there is the interesting part. We were stationed in Japan the last 3yrs so I feel your pain on trying to get products, especially heavy weight items overseas. I would imagine this would be a FedEx or UPS venture? Or can USPS tackle that? At the least contact the manfuacture and inquire about shipping it over. Since they're warehoused it would be a lot easier to get a bumper palletized and loaded up.

Ranchhand has a nice bullnose, that's what I plan on getting. They run 840 or so locally with winch mount. You could probly get that shipped over there for under the amount your looking for. Also Javelina sells a nice bumper thats not a bullnose. for like 600.

Bullnose

BlueMonster I feel your pain. I was at Ramstein a few years ago and now I am in the UK. I have had a hard time getting things shipped to an APO/AE address also. I have held off on doing any major mods because of the shipping. You can probably find a shipping company who will deliver international if you look on-line. The problem is you may have to pay the German import tax. The tax office on base should be able to help you. A friend of mine in GE ordered some tube bumbers for his Jeep. He had to drive to the port and pick it up so he could do the import/tax paperwork. I think the import tax is around 30% of the retail value.

signature won't show for some reason.

30%??? Hell with that. Get the insurance to pay you the 2500 and wait until you get back to the states!

Sorry but I'm with lost lake on this one. The OP does not use proper "American" in his sentences.
I need a bumper that won't fall apart every time I work off road. As the one in the pic... I really appreciate everyone time and help.
Will you please sending a checks in the extra amount of $5000 and when after the bumper is shipping I am forward your the extra monies when these check clear...

Now, if this turns out to be legit then I apologize in advance...
