Sentry Key Strikes Again!

So tonight I drove home, parked the truck, went inside for about 20 min, walked out, used the key fob to unlock the truck and hopped in.

I tried to start the truck, nothing...all the lights came on, no crank. Tried the other key...same thing.

so then I try locking and unlocking the truck with the fob...nothing. I then locked the doors with the power locks, tried to unlock with the fob, nothing. I then unlocked the door with the key since I'd left my phone inside...off goes the alarm! So then I scramble to get a wrench to disconnect the battery, all the while the alarm's blaring, neighbors are coming outside to see what the ruckus is, etc.

Then I get to spend the evening getting the truck towed to the dealer in town, of course they're closed, so I get to have this fixed tomorrow. 9500 miles on the truck...and this isn't the first time it's seen a flatbed.

Anyone know off the top of their head what the problem with the truck is?

make sure your truck went all the way into park... when i VERY first got mine i did that... and go figure they try it the next morning and it fires right up... i notice some time when i put my truck in park the gears go but the computer doesnt... look at the light on the cluster, if the box isnt around the P it can make the truck think its in gear and wont turn over

Yep..thought of that as I was trying to get it to start. I triple checked that it was in park. Since it has the factory alarm on it (Sound and Secure Group) I'm suspecting it went haywire...which is why neither key fob works at all.
