Seat full of SNOW!!
Seat full of SNOW!!
Well, I guess I'm experiencing what some others have complained about. A seat full of snow when you open the door, despite having tried to clean it all off BEFORE opening the door. Thanks Dodge for the heated seats to dry my Edit off!!
i have that problem too. its quite annoying. i can even wipe all the snow off the top of the door and it still goes right on my seat. I just wipe it off the seat and drive away.
i have a feeling that people with power windows will have long term effects of the snow dropping on the power window/power lock buttons.

Yep, same thing happened to me yesterday. This is a design flaw IMHO. I can't believe the engineers never thought of snow when designing these rigs. Even if you clean off the door frames, you still get a load of snow on the seat that has to be brushed off.
I have the same problem with the snow falling on the seat even after brushing all the snow off. What we need is something like a VentVisor that can stick to the top of the truck from the front all the way to the back....

Short of covering it up about all a guy can do is brush it off really well. I leave my brush in the box leaned up against the front corner so I don't have to reach over the side to get it. Then open the door really slowly, it doesn't seem to suck much in that way.
The snow that ....man that TS Performance ad is distracting :^) ...the snow that falls even after the cab is brushed off is probably what was left between the door and cab. I guess ideally the weatherstripping should be flush with the top of the door.
well you can always use a crazy carpet with bungee cords over the door opening to keep the snow out. I not only get snow but i use to get rain water also. It really is a pain in the butt about the snow. Talk about annoying. But i guess the doors opening at the top while going down the highway at 60mph is worse, yes this happens to me also. These doors suck, they are poorly engineered and need to be redone. they do look cool though, as if that is the only requirement for the truck. Ya it is really cold with the wind blowing in my door but man they sure look cool. any ways enough. ya it sucks but we have to live with it. we could be dealing with engine failures and stuff. good luck and if you find a true fix please keep us posted

The "solution" is to plan ahead and leave a towel on the driver seat. Remove it before you sit down.
Another helpful tip is to leave the wipers extended away from the windshield. It makes clearing the snow easier and in the case of ice prevents them freezing to the windshield.
I do these steps as I plug the block heater into the timer for the evening.
