Rubber Rot

I do not know if anyone else has had the problem, but I have an 2003 that is starting to have dry rot problems. In particular, the bushings on the front end, the bushings holding gear linkage, and the hoses on top of the gas tank.

I think it is pathetic to have to start replacing such items at this point.

As rubber ages it dries out. The environment also has a factor in the aging process.

Do you work or live near a chemical plant/refinery or park your truck in a garage with electric motors (washer, dryer, etc)?
