Rubber Floor Matting
Rubber Floor Matting
I found some factory rubber floor covering from an ST truck and I'm wondering if anyone has just taken this and laid it over their carpet instead of removing the carpet first. It would just act as an additional sound barrier if it would fit, I would think.....
it may work. Just be careful if its actually made from rubber. It has a tendancy to breakdown & get sticky like hot tar. Especial with gas & diesel that you may pick up on you shoes when filling up.

Zilla, your always coming up with something
But yeah, sounds like a killer idea. Dont see why it wouldnt work.
Only thing I would be careful with is if you happen to get some water/mud/muck inside and it gets to the carpet it may go moldy/mildew if it holds any moisture.
