right headlight not working

I just replaced my HID bulbs with standard Phillips bulbs. the left headlight works fine but the right headlight low beam will not come on. the high beam will work fine on the right side, but not the low beam. I'll check the bulb and the bulb is . does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I've got to drive to Houston in 2 weeks, and I'm going to be driving through the night so I'll need all the light I can get.
Thanks

I got home last night and checked the wiring all the way from the harness at the bulb, across the [assenger side and across the firewall until it went into the main harness. I saw no cracks or anything like that. Has anyone had this happen before?

Any ideas on how to trace down the problem?

OK. I've spent the last 3 hours teaching the white with tan wire from the passenger side over to the fuse box. I've narrowed it down to no juice leaving the fuse box to the passenger low beam. The passenger high beam works, but not the low beam. And it ain't the bulb. So I've decided to pull the batteries and see what happens.

That didn't help either. So please if anyone knows which wire feeds the passenger low beam, prior to the fuse box, I would greatly appreciate it. My Haynes manual does not disclose that info. My high beans are great, but no passenger low beam.
Thanks for y'alls help

Its the TIPM module under the fuses. You have to get it reflashed at a dealer. Mine cost $25, others are saying its $95, so ask your dealer to confirm what they want. The reflash downloads the latest s/w and resets it. If the reflash doesn't work, the wiring and bulbs are good, the bulb plugs are okay, then it'll likely mean replacing the TIPM module for $700+.

There are two other alternatives too.

First there is an aftermarket product that runs the headlights using the multifunction switch and it bypasses the TIPM module.

Second, some people use the working high beam and low beam signals to operate relays for high beams and low beams. You have to wire in the relays. With this method you lose your daytime running lights.

Great information guys. I really appreciate it. I called one local dealer and he wants $135 for a re flash, but didn't think it would help. And of course he said it will probably need to be replaced. What is the name of the aftermarket product that works the lights? I don't have rec'd so i'm not worried about losing that function. I'm not sure the relays would work in this situation, since I can't even find the signal wire that works for the pasdenger low .
I'm calling another dealer for their price on a re flash. Is it possible, that my headlight switch in the cab could be somehow causing the problem?

okay, so I decided I would try and reset the ECU am using my smarty junior. first I read all the trouble codes wish there were none. And then I went ahead and cleared anything just to be safe. I'll then re updated my current version of the software and installed it and updated the EC M. and now my right headlight is working perfectly fine so I don't know how that worked but it did. thanks for all the help I really appreciate it

Good for you.

Sad that they make these trucks too smart for their own good.

I have the exact same issue on my 06.

I don't have a Smarty or similar but do have a Canadian Tire OBDII/CAN reader.

Tried clearing codes but no luck.

Is it worth finding a Smarty and trying this?

I wonder if there is somebody near Moose Jaw SK that might have one they'd let me try for 20 mins?

well... I'm a little far away... (per google, 1516 miles at 26 hours - straight up 35 north)
But I'd say try that before going to a dealer... and add then remove one of the programs.. Fuel economy or whatever. Maybe that is what did it on mine... So far so good. both of my headlights are working good.
