I am thinking about a Rhino liner, any one know how much for them to do my 8 ft bed and tail gate?

Anyway I can talk you into Line-X?

I think you will find that if you search around this forum and others you will find that a very high percentage of people with Line-X are 100% satisfied and a many (not going to commit to a number) of Rhino customers are less than happy.

Line-X warranty is NATION wide, any dealer. Rhino will only honor it at the original installer, when they do, it will consist of them using a putty knife to slab some goop over your problem.

It may cost a little more, but I have yet to hear of a dissatisfied Line-X customer.

So, to answer your question.

Rhino is around $400-$500. I paid $560.00 for a nice, clean over the rail (not DOWN the rail) job.

I know some guys with the Rino black and it seems to fade over time. Go Line-X heard a lot of good things about it.

Linex. You couldn't pay me to own rhino. Look at one that is more than a year old and you will know why.

Let me send you some pics of my rhino liner, you'll go the other way. I have had mine to 3 different dealers, and it is so jacked up, no one will touch it. I have seen lots of good linex liners. PM me if you want pics.

My rhino liner has held up great for over 2 years. I paid $460 for an over-the- rail shortbed.

I agree with all of the others who have promoted Line X... much better product, much better customer support.

Line X, I have had both and the linex holds up better IMO. Rhino seems to fade.

I used the stuff you roll on yourself. It works good (I have seen it one one other truck) as long as you prep and mask everything yourself. Must say though, as my truck is a work truck the bed takes a lot of abuse. This has led me to the conclusion that I did not prep the bed good enough, and it is peeling off. If I ever have the time to re-do it, I would likely go with everyone here's advice and go with the Line X.

Keep in mind though, the age of my truck, how I use it, etc. Also keep in mind the DIY stuff costs about 150 total for materials and it took me 5 hours to do it by myself. I wanted a quick and inexpensive answer to everything so I did it myself and now it is showing.

We have two trucks and my buis. partner had Rhino liner sprayed in his. It's pealing badly. He needs to take it back for a third redo but he said the other day he's not sure if he will or not, he has no confidence in them to make it stick. LCH

Another option that I have had personally- get a DIY bed liner kit, and then put a plastic bedliner over it. The DIY kept the bed from rusting, and the plastic one kept me from jacking up the bed. I didn't like the plastic one b/c stuff slid around like a slip-n-slide with soap on it, but the bed was in good shape.

Here is a thread I did a while ago about this with a poll (closed now) but you can see why there are so many positives about Line-X. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't be apposed to a DIY either, just not on my NEW truck.

The results of the Poll are pretty clear though, massive majority.
