I had a trailer tow package problem this past weekend. I lost my left turn/left brake light on my 7 pin on my truck. At first, I assumed I had a fuse out or something like that. That wasn't it. So then checking the 7 pin I found nothing wrong with the wiring. I go under the truck. I checked the wire supporting left turn on the dodge factory wiring and no signal. At this point I am thinking it must be a flasher or relay. Guess what... There are no relays supporting this feature on our trailer tow packages. I took the truck to the dealer yesterday for this problem and ac problem. Also the truck has been to the dealer 4 times now for ac problems. They call me today to let me know that power dist. center needs to be replaced. The realys for trailer towing packege are on a board in it and the whole thing has to be replaced. Why in the world would they design a trailer tow package on a heavy duty truck like this. Anyway, they wanted $450.00 plus $150.00 for install of the new pdc. I found a pdc at oemdodgeparts.com for $285.00 but I will be installing it myself. As far as the ac, they fixed the dreaded defrost door at 35k and it's broke again at 43k and 8 months later. They did not want to cover under warranty. I tell ya, I love my dodge but I will be buying a used one next time. I am done giving them my money unless I just have to buy a dealer only part. Their warranty stinks and they don't stand behind their work. They always offer you an extended warranty. They need to give an opt out on their standard warranty and just take money off of their truck. There is no sense in having a warranty if the company won't stand behind their product.
