Rebates of 2004's

They tell me that my 04 will ship next week. I looked on the DC web site and they say 2,500.00 and in the small print I see something called bonus cash, 500.00. Is that in addition to the rebates. I hope so because with that, the Farm bureau 500 and a 200 from the dealer for repeat customer that adds up to 3,700.00 off. That would be great because I am getting the truck at a good deal. Thanks, Tracy

Ya, I saw that too. The bad news is that it expires 12/1. My truck won't get here until 2 weeks after that. :'(

Unfortunately the same thing happened to me last year when I got my truck. The holiday $500.00 bonus expired ten days before my truck arrived. :-[

Re:Rebates of 2004's

I suppose that's the reason my truck was delayed in Mexico, to make sure it arrived after the $500 bonus expired. Oh well, when I ordered, the '04 rebate was only $1000. I'll be getting $2500, so my truck is going to be $1500 less than what I'd originally planned. The extra $500 would have been nice, but I won't be greedy and complain too much! LOL! And then too, I'm buying on Employee Price.

Hey TDC,

I got the $2,500 rebate plus a business owners rebate of $300. Total rebate $2,800. Ask about the business rebate, maybe it will carry on till you get your truck.

I ordered my truck on 10/13, and it's scheduled to deliver to dealer on 12/8.

It came in the Port of Baltimore on 11/25.

I talked to my dealer regarding trying to get it here before the Bonus deadline, and he said I can come in and do up all the paper work today, and still recieve the bonus, even if the truck isn't here.

So, I'm headed to the dealer after work. They are trying to get it there by tonight or tomorrow though.

So, see if you can do the paper work today...
I'll let yall know how it goes...
The extra $500 will definately help me out!

Well, incase someone is interested. I did all the paperwork at the dealer yesterday to get the extra $500 bonus. My truck did not come in yet though.
They said they are working on it, but b/c DC just got a new shipping carrier or something :....I remember reading that excuse on here before... :

Anyhow, they said hopefully it'll be in today, but not holding my breath though.

I think that may have been me that mentioned that in another thread... My dealer in Delaware was claiming that for a while.

Now my truck has missed the delivery date of 11/24 and has been sitting in Baltimore for almost a month, and has no new ETA. After constant badgering of the dealer to call and find someone that knows what the heck is going on they tell me that the delivery is delayed because the EPA wants Chrysler to install a "regulator" on it. HUH?? ??? This same dealer had another 2500 CTD that was built AFTER mine and arrived in Baltimore after mine did delivered to them already with NO delays.

So it looks like now I've missed out on the $500 special, AND
the free lifetime subscription to Sirius, due to the continued delays.

I am getting really frustrated with this dealer, and their inability to come up with believable information. I am about two seconds away from looking around on the Dodge inventory search for the first six speed Laramie I can find (so I at least get the options I DID want) and cancelling this order if something doesn't happen soon!

How can I motivate this dealer?? There *HAS* to be someone somewhere in the organization that can find out conclusively exactly what the delays are. There *HAS* to be!!

Thanks,
Jim

Re:Rebates of 2004's

Man, sorry to hear that Racer.
I'm kinda in the same boat as you, except my ETA still shows as 12/8.

The original ETA was 11/20. The truck was released on 10/25, but sat in Mexico for a long time.
It arrived at the Port of Balti on 11/25.
They told me yesterday they couldn't get it, and said they'll try again today...who knows :

When I first learned about the $500 bonus, (which was day before Thanksgiving), I called my sales guy and told him that he needed to work on trying to get my truck in before it expires.

He tried, that day, the Friday and Sat, but no luck, so he told me that I could come in on Mon. and do the paperwork to lock in the deal.

He did say that he talked to the shipping folks, and they verified that my truck was there.

Maybe instead of calling, try visiting your dealer and make them call the carrier while you are there...atleast to see if the shipping folks at the port of Balti, can verify that your truck is atleast there??
Good luck.

Re:Rebates of 2004's

The salesman said he talked to someone out there that confirmed the truck definitely was in Baltimore as the tracking info indicates. In a few days it will have been there for a full month.

I find it unbelievable that nobody has even the faintest idea of when the truck can ship the final 60 miles or exactly what the delay is. I'm not so upset with the delays as I am the lack of information. If the word from Chrysler was "you can't have it until January 04" I would still be bumming but at least I would have some presumably reliable data from the source.

Anyone have any reason to believe the current $2500 rebate will go away when it expires? Think they will bump it up to get rid of the current batch of '04s like they did with the 03 rebate?

Thanks,
Jim
