Re:Ready to take the plunge...
I didnt buy from them but Steve White in Hickory, NC claims to sell at invoice and you also get half the hold back.
Last time I checked they had a great inventory!
Good Luck!

Re:Ready to take the plunge...
You could try Barbara Reed at Dodge Country in Killeen. 800-370-6767. I got mine from her at invoice plus the $2500 rebate in October.....Tell her Tim M. says hi!
Re:Ready to take the plunge...
Are you sure you want the offroad group? You get the 4.10's with this and mileage kinda sucks with the 4.10's...at least mine does! :'(
Only thing I dont like about my truck....but I couldnt find a 3500 SRW with the 3.73 so I got the 4.10's.
Also, I emailed a lot of dealers when I was shopping and you might want to try the same and tell them you want $1,000 under invoice and see if they will deal. Remember the Cummins 600 is coming out real soon. Also ask what kind of fees do they charge.

Yes, I do want the offroad group. I plan on going with bigger tires that will even the ratio out a bit, and I don't want it to bog down with the 3.73s. I don't want to lose the $2500 rebate, and I am not sold on getting caught up in the 2004 emissions quagmire with the 600. Plus, I don't have to wait to get my buns in a new truck. ;D
Right now, the dealership in St. Louis (Tomeygun's, but dealing with Randy, as Tom is off today :
)is in the lead with a quoted price $32,777 for a $40,690 MSRP sticker.
What dealership fees are reasonable? :
None? I have bought new vehicles before, but always sucked up whatever they dropped on me. Trying to get smarter. Please help.

kry226, when you have found the best price, go back to Lagrange and tell them honestly what you have found. Talk only to Sydna. Tell her I sent you and she may better what you found. Remind her that their web site says that they will not be undersold.

I am waiting for La Grange to get back with me. They were having lots of trouble finding the truck I wanted. The one in St. Louis also has "extra" stuff on the truck, but these happen to be extras that I can tolerate better, La Grange found trucks I would probably refuse. Thanks for all of your help Stan!

Re:Ready to take the plunge...
IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO GET A GOOD DEAL. I BOUGHT JUST ABOUT THE SAME TRUCK YOU ARE LOOKING FOR BACK IN OCTOBER.I GAVE 31,300 PLUS TAX ON 13,700 , THEY GAVE ME 17,600 ON MY 2000. JUST A FEW NUMBERS TO COMPAIR. :
The guy in St Louis is named Tom Chaney He works for Lou Fouz Dodge He's on the TDR as Tommeygun. I ordered a 2004.5 from him simple and easy to deal with. The MSRP on my truck is 44,100. My price is 35,788. I live in Virginia and am flying out to get it when it comes in. You can find the phone number off their website, or I can look for it if you have trouble. I also have a email if you need it. Simple and easy to deal with calls you right back if you miss him. He also gave me the best price I could find. The price I quoted is the first price he gave me, no negotiating.
Hope this helps.-Shawn

Edit: Getting my truck from St. Louis. They're the only dealership in four states that I have looked in that can match the options I want. Hopefully have it next weekend. Woo hoo!!!!!
