Rattle inside dash

I have a rattle or vibration that has started inside the dash of my 2007 3500. It absolutely is driving me nuts. What could it possibly be?

i have the same thing, a rattle from behind the glove box. i have taken my dash completely apart and cant find it. the only time it rattles is when i am at a stop light. i cant get it to rattle in my yard for the life of me. I have tried everything, letting it idle, putting in drive with the Ebrake on. Dont bash me on this but I even let my wife drive it for a few minutes while i went tearing into the dash trying to find it.

Funny! I have the same noise and tore my dash apart Friday looking for the dang vibration... no luck! If anyone finds out what it is let us know...

Just does it at idle w/ a little rev and when you start off...

I've thought about posting the same thread, glad I found this first. My '07 has started a rattle at idle, somewhere in the center of the dash. Up there a ways too. Try pushing on the dash everywhere I can, it's deep under there somewhere. Gonna pull it apart one of these days, driving me nuts. Only at idle tho, bring the rpm up just a hair and it goes away...good luck and keep us updated!

Yes, I checked all the settings! I have heat in the floor, dash and defroster! As a matter of fact, all of my vents blow strong and at the same temperature whatever the setting...

One of these days i'm gonna take the whole dash out all the way to the firewall looking for this rattle.... the bad thing is it will probably be at a stop light!

my 04.5 had a rattle and it was the pipes running into the the heater core just bend them down alittle, there is a bracket that attachs the the pipes to the exh manifold i think that is part of the problem.mine would only rattle when taking off at a redlight or backing up hope this helps.

Mine rattled too, then I found it was the tranny dipstick tube hitting the AC lines under the hood.

Only does it at idle........

I had a rattle awhile back that turned out to be all the additional wires from gauges and tst and stuff rubbing against things. I zip tied everything I could find that was loose in the gauge pod and under the dash being careful not to zip anything in a way that would rub through a wire. Don't know what it was, but that sure did fix it. There was more stuff down there kinda loose stock than you would expect.

Welcome to DTR!

You made a good choice.
I've got an '06 Mega Cab and love it.

Stick around and start reading the threads. There is a wealth of information on this site, and if you don't find the answer, just ask.
