RAQ replacement CD not working.

Good Morning all. Hope someone can help with some info.

I have a 2006 2500 with an RAQ (6 disc) radio and Infinity system. While working on my Nephews radio in his truck I got a CD out of mine to test. I had him put the CD back in my truck. Problem was he didn't hit the LOAD button and wait for it to "INSERT Disc". Just shoved it in. Needless to say this screwed everything up. I took the radio out and removed the CD player mechanism to get the CD's out. Afterwards the CD mechanism was toast so when I put it back together and installed it in the truck, but the system would constantly try to reset the CD player. So, I removed the mechanism for the CD, put the radio back together and reinstalled to listen to the radio. At this point the "MODE" button only displays SAT radio, no CD.
So I order a replacement from LKQ. Get it installed and everything works except the Mode button will not give me the CD option still. My question is:

Is this a faulty CD mechanism in the replacement Radio (LKQ says they are bench tested prior to shipping)?
or
Due to the radio being in the truck with a broken CD mechanism and later without this mechanism has the ECM disabled that component and I will have to get the ECM flashed to reenable?

Any Dodge service guys out there?
Thanks inadvance for your assistance.
