Railyard QC?????
Re:Railyard QC?????
Just a quick question. Are these the trucks that are on order or are they the 400+ that are already on the dealer lots and have to be inspected there? I know most of the dealers here in AZ have a few trucks on the lots that they had to pull for inspection.
Re:Railyard QC?????
Jeff;
Is there any way you could fax or e-mail that list. My dealer has contacted DC district sales and they can not confirm which vehicles to release. So there is not very good communication going on at least here in Canada. That list would be very helpful. Without some confirmation it seems that the vehicles will sit there for some time in that railyard.
thanks :'(
Re:Railyard QC?????
Thanks Jeff! Wonder what colors were affected (2 tone?).
Hey don't know if this is related, but anyone notice a little overspray on the plastic liner in the rear wheel well? I was under the impression that the bodies were sprayed off the frame. I heard of some issues coming off the delivery trucks and now wondering if some "pre-delivery" touchup of the patriot blue pearlcoat was done on mine... >

Re:Railyard QC?????
B D; you are lucky. Mine is being held indefinetly even though it was not on Jeffs list. I hear 2 - 5 weeks before they can finalize the inspection. Likely all the big dealers get priority if they have a bunch of trucks on their lots that cant be released. After that, add a few more weeks for a repaint job and then shipping. Could be anywhere from another 6-8 weeks for me. Not sure if I want to go through with it this time.
Really not happy with DC. >
Re:Railyard QC?????
I'm still waiting on my truck although they are inspecting today or tomorrow. Bad thing is their inspection is just pressure washing the trucks and seeing if the paint peels. Not sure I like that "scientific" of testing on a $40000 truck. We had another vehicle that had this problem on certain parts, it took about a year and then all of the paint peeled from those parts. Washing it didn't reveal the problem right off the bat. I think if I took the truck I would want a lifetime paint and corrosion warranty free.
Re:Railyard QC?????
I think if your truck fails the inspection you won't get it back. you will hafta order a new one, or get another brand. Better to find out before you hand the check over than one year down the road when the fenders fall off because of rust or something ( i am speculating on the rust thing) Sucks to wait but humans build these things, and humans do make mistakes.........also try a dealer locate. Southbank usually has trucks, no??
