Question for Those with Painted Mirrors
This years elk hunt was not particularly kind to the truck and trailer, so the truck is finally headed to the body shop for some TLC.
The painter has agreed to paint my fender flares and rear bumper (to match the sport front)
The passenger side tow mirror needs to be replaced so I was thinking of having him paint the mirrors to match as well.
My question for those of you that have had them painted. Do you lose functionality of the flip up mirrors? I have heard that if you flip them up and down it will chip and peel the paint. I like the look on red trucks but don't want to lose the ability to use them.
Thanks all for your help.
