I recently test drove a 2004 ram 3500 with 133000 miles on it. The dealer wants 17.2. It is a quad cab, short bed, I think its an SLT. I can get the VIN off the dealers website.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on this truck?

The dealer is saying it has the HO engine. I haven't confirmed. Is there away to know that from the VIN?

Skinnypines, Just call your local dealer with the last 8 digits of the vin# and they can tell you what the motor is, what trans, gear ratio, month it was built, Ect.

 

If it's in pristine shape and hasn't been worked hard, that price isn't too bad, but not the best deal out there. If it's anything less than excellent condition...too much $$.
