Thought I'd pop in and intruduce myself. Hi, I'm Todd *waves hands* and as of 10 min ago (just got off the phone w/ the bank) I became the proud papa of an 07 (silver) 2500 Q long bed 4x4 CTD 6spd. I've been lurking here for a bit gathering information and trying to narrow down the eng. I wanted. I opted for the 5.9 due to the fact that I don't really care for first year technology (like to get the bugs out first).

This is my first diesel to own. I've been around diesels (dad was a trucker / farmer) all my life so, I know a little (emphisis on little) about diesels.

I'm coming out of an 04 F-150 Screw FX4. It's been a good truck but, I wanted the diesel for the towing. I tow a jeep mainly to various rides (in a club) and the diesel just does sooooo much better towing.

I'm not real sure about navigating around this site just yet so, if I ask a Q that's been asked a million times...just tell me how to do a propper search or something.

congrats!! i got my CTD just last week on friday.. so yea im just like you man... welcome to the family... i did go for the 6.7 so we shall see how it goes from here.. unlike some on the board who have id-ed problems with their 6.7 i have yet to find anything strange or anything I am unhappy with...

 

welcome--I pick my 2007 5.9 in three weeks when I return to the US.
