Unhappy Problems with outside temp from overhead console

I have an '06 Laramie and the outside temperature on the overhead console is wrong. Does anyone else have this problem? It seems that the temperature is reading at least 6-8 degrees colder than what is outside. I have also noticed it is very slow to update when I first start up the truck. I asked the dealer and they told me that was normal. Is it???

Thanks!

I asked my dealer the same thing. He said the reason for the overhead to read slow was the truck had to reach 20mph before it would start to update. The reason for the wrong temp. I don't know that one.
