Thanks for the info. I went with the phosgate shallow mount. I have a jl 10w7 in there now and it rocks but I have 2 kids now and need the room. I bought the box on ebay and got a great deal. I seen the diamonds and they look sweet but dont have the cash for those right now. I live in STL if anyone wants the jl.

Not the Proboxes, but an amp is at home under the driver seat on mine, I see it as an ideal location.
Honestly if you go Probox and want something decent just go with the loaded enclosure, its designed to be diverse when tuned in to 45htz and they were made for the box. I did experiment when I was beta testing, tried Kicker CompVrs and they were good in the box, but found the Normal CompVs more at home in this enclosure. The Probox speakers only lacked in maximum bass effeciency (which that box wasn't even designed for) but for all around performance I was pleased with them. You can't expect quantum leaps with so little airspace, thats the case with many of these enclosures for under the seat.

IMO no, but it really depends on how much power you want to push. IMO 600watts is all you can get out of these boxes (or any of these Underseat boxes mentioned) at there most effeciency, go past that and you will begin overheating the voice coils and cause premature failure. Use high powered subs and tune it down to block distortion will make some good bass but you lose the sound band (the effectiveness of bass at each frequency) in certain songs and music. If you stick with what is recommended for the airspace provided, your bass may not bump-bump you out of your truck, but it will make your music rich in all frequencies. This is just opinion from what I've learned. If you get a single and power it right it will sound good; go to duals and do it right and it will sound much better, and most important to me, more even.

under drivers or passenger seat, as said above is the perfect spot........ remove seat, install amp using self tapping screws. re install seat making amp removal nearly impossible for thieves unless they take the seat out.
