Power Sliding Window

Does anyone know of a good kit to convert the sliding window to power? I like using the rear window, but it's a heck of a stretch from the drivers seat.

Thanks much,

I asked the same question about 2 months ago and got no answers here! I assume they think you're stupid for asking the question or many just don't know the answer to honestly reply with. I know it can be done because Nissan has it on their 4 door Titan trucks. It is also heated. As for whats on the aftermarket, have'nt found out any info yet.

I know it can be done as well ... I saw it on someone else's profile on TDR ... I just can't figure out who it was. To me it seems like a great and very usefull mod. Hopefully someone will pipe up soon.

Don't know that you can convert your original window I think you will have to replace with the power unit but here it is.

I got a quote for the C R Laurence powerslider for $722 installed.

The autoglass place mentioned that the aftermarket windows "don't fit as well" as the OEMs. I wonder if that is a big issue. Could be only on certain models and not neccesarily the 3G Dodge.

Anyone have experience with C R Laurence windows?

I'm interested as well, but can't find anyone who has one. Where did you get your quote from? Did this person have any experience with these windows or was he speaking in general about poor quality aftermarket windows? I'd sure like to find somone that has one.

There is a power sliding window option for the 2006 model year Dodge trucks. It might be worthwhile to wait and see if the 06 window will retro fit into the earlier years Dodge RAMs.

My quote was in eastern Iowa, probably not where you are looking. If you email C R L sales they will give you local dealers

The person that told me fit wasn't so good was the person that answered the phone, I have no idea if they had any 1st hand exprience with installation, and my feeling is it was a general comment rather than specific to this model.
I posted this question on another site, and had one a very happy 2G owner with a CRL power slider say it fit great

I had a CRL replacement put in a 2003 when the 4 wheeler went through it. It isn't the power sliding window (just regular slider), but the fit seems to be excellent. Glass shop ordered it and put it in so I am assuming that is what they use.

I guess if the '06 is going to have it as an option then I'll just wait. I can't imagine the backglass wouldn't fit ... why would it change from '05 to '06?

So I guess who ever hears about the first '06 getting smashed up - have them give me a call.

The dealer had installed a power slider in my 03 before I bought it. I love it. The truck was a demo and whoever drove it had every dealer option installed plus some aftermarket.
