Power sliding rear window - aftermarket?
Power sliding rear window - aftermarket?
Anybody know of a method/source to install an aftermarket or adapted REAR power window mechanism into an '05 QC? A buddy got a new F150 SuperCrew that has one and now Dodge is doing it on the '06's. I think it'd be super cool!
I'm waiting (sort of) patiently for a wrecked '06 to come into the local yards. The guys down at the yard promise they'll call me as soon as one comes in. Other than that, there are a few aftermarket producers, but I haven't heard great things about the fit/finish/reliability of them.

I agree, saw it on the mega cab, it is sweet. I asked the guy if it would fit in a 05 Quad. I really don't see why it wouldn't. Maybe we can have one of the guys here that works at dodge, see if the solid glass on the 05, is the same as the solid glass on the 06 (that way we'd know if the dimensions, frame was the same) then maybe the 06 slider would fit. You'd have to buy the switch and all, but I would gladly buy a dodge one if it would fit and work that good (and be covered under warrenty) That would be great, they problably wouldn't even know it was an 05, tell them it's an 06 when you take it it (well it woudl work at our dealer)
A fella over at TDR installed what I believe to be the new OEM dodge unit in his 03. I asked this same question about 9 months ago and got nothing but negative " what ya wonna do that for" http://www.tdr1.com/user_gallery/dis...hp?userid=6346

Maybe you missed the rest of the information on the page. I contacted them moments ago and they stated it will fit the 2500/3500 QC Rams.

just saw the OEM slider yesterday on my buddy's now 06 and its sweet. i USED to own a 99 supderduty and had the C.R. Lawrence power slider in it for years with no problems. fit and finish in my case were outstanding. think it was about $900.
I think they have come down in price a bit. If anyone is interested I can check with my buddy and see what he can get them for. Let me know.
