Polishing Guru's

I need some suggestions on how to get some rust off of the exuast side of my Top charger. Its Polished stainless and I want to clean it up. It sickens me How do you lighlty repolish it

0000 STEEL WOOL. the more zero's that is on it the finer it is. used it to clean all the polished stainless on my Pete. then go over with some polish.

Where can I get "0000" Steel wool? And what product do I repolish it with?

Cool I'm going to HD tommorrow. Now what is this 3m polisher? Is it a coumpond?

They make rubbing compound, swirl remover, and various grades of polishing compound. It can be found at any good automotive paint store. I'm sure there are products which are less expensive, and will work just as well for your application. Try an auto parts store, or silverrams suggestion.

Reg Steel wool will only increase the amount of work down the road as it embeds small pieces of steel that will rust into your surface.
Use Stainless Steel wool if you need too, but I prefer to use some 1500-2000 grit wet/dry paper then follow up with a nice polish.

I think these are all pretty much the same formulation. I used to use the all metal polish to polish jetboats. Its nice because it leaves a nice wax on top...

I also have Mothers mag and all metal polish along with turtle wax crome al and stainless polish

i usually buy never dull and mothers and apply the mothers with the never dull......works good for me
