Talking Picked up my first CTD today

I headed off to the dealer that was gona give me the best deal. I showed up looking for the 3500 or 2500 with the NV5600 and to my dismay there stupid internet page was wrong it ended up being a G56 errrrrrr. Oh well so looked around and could not find one I realy like price wise and option wise the fleet manager was a awesome guy will recomend him to anybody in socal a real strait forward guy no BS. I asked him is this all u have and he said ya and I was kinda bumed I just drove 35 miles to get there. Then I saw this 2500 white 4x4 with offroad graphics and said whats the deal with that truck. Turns out they did a dealer trade for it and he did not have a file but it was theirs.

I went looked it over and fell in love right off the bat price was about a grand more than I wanted to spend but when I asked him what kind of deal he could pull he said how about 100 over invoice and what u want for your trade I agreed but had to give the truck the 70mph test and check the door seals and serpentine belt first. All turned out fine and I got my baby boy let me tell u I had a hard on the whole way home feld like a Edit king. I guess the only thing I did not like was it had the 4.10 gears but I got between 17.1-18 mpg on the way home according to the little trip meter thats the same as my tacoma I traded in and the CTD is not even broken in yet lol.

Specs
05 quad cab 4X4 SLT
white
chrome clad wheels
-Light group
-Protection group
-Trailer group
-Off Road group
-Folding flat load floor
-AUTO
-Anti spind diff
- cummins
- sliding rear window
- fold away tow mirros
-engine block heater
- 6CD changer with sirus
-steering mounted contorls
- Leather wrapped S wheel
- front hood protection shield

STICKER was 43,095
I paid 35,900 for her thats now bad considering how bad the socal dealers are most wont budge on truck or they have a made up markup

Im so happy right now

ok, since you are in riverside, spill it.. which dealer did you go to? Driving 35 miles, my guess is either frahm dodge in Norco, or Moss Bros. In san bernardino. I bought mine at moss.. just happen to know the fleet dept manager, so I got a screamin deal on the truck I wanted too . Congrats on the new truck bro! Catch you around so cal hopefully.

Dissappointed with the 4.10 gears are you crazy??? I looked all over No. Ca. specifically looking for the 4.10 gears! If you put a set of 33-35"tires on it you'll virtually have 3.73's!!! Quit yer whining!!

This is your first CTD and you will be stunned at the overall performance of this vehicle as this is NOT A (TOY) YODA!!!
(This new truck will flat out STOMP your old one with a load on!!!)
When you pack as much gear as you can and haul a loaded trailer you will understand!!

Please fill out your signature with specifics and contact me directly Re: signing up for the Ca chapter #21 of DTR at cadtr@comcast.net.

Congrats, I just bought a 05 CTD also. I bought the G56. What the heck. Its covered under warranty. Everyone doesn't like change but I trust Dodge to do the right thing by its customers if there are issues with the G56. I do know that its a real smooth shifting transmission and should only get better as is gets broke in. (Only 150 miles on it so far)

Way cool man.. I hear they are cool to deal with. If you see a molten red quad cab with a silver lower stripe, with a TDR sticker in the rear window, wave! I travel between San Bernardino and San Diego once a week, so chances are good that you might catch me somewhere

Congrats on your new truck. Sounds like a nice rig. How does it feel to have a REAL truck?
